What is Most Important in Your Life?
If I asked you to list the things that are most important in your life, what would you write down?
It may sound overwhelming, but don’t worry. It’s not that hard.
You probably already have a good idea of what you want you want out of life, but you may not have it written down. Or maybe you’ve done this exercise before, but you haven’t updated your goals for a while. Either way, now’s the time to do it.
Think About Your Life Goals
Remember, these should be your life goals.
- Not what your parents want you to be.
- Not what your teachers think you should be.
- But what you really want out of life.
No matter how crazy it may sound to other people.
If you’re having difficultly thinking about how you want to spend your time in life – that’s okay.
The answer is simple: Do what you love.
- What do you love to do?
- What is most important to you?
- What are you truly passionate about?
- What are the things in your life that give you value?
- What would you do if money was no object?
- What are your signature skills and talents?
- What really makes you happy?
As you reflect on these questions, the next step is to write down everything that comes to mind. Everything’s fair game. Grab a pencil. Do it now.
Spend ten minutes jotting down anything and everything that comes to mind.
Don’t worry if things seem disorganized, or if you’re just listing random activities, experiences, or feelings. That’s completely natural.
We’ll sort everything out in a moment. For now, just let the ideas flow.
