How to Discover Your Passions and Live a More Fulfilling Life
The first question to ask yourself is:
Don’t worry, there’s no right answer. You may have known for a while now what you want out of life, but just haven’t pursued it.
If so, that’s great. It may just take a little contemplation to crystallize what you’ve wanted all along and how to purse that passion.
If you have no idea what you want, guess what?
That’s okay too.
Some people never ask themselves this question and therefore have no idea of what they want out of life.
In either case, my next several blogs will provide a step-by-step guide to help you clarify what is most important to you and what you want out of life. Here’s a sneak preview:
Step One: Take some time for quiet contemplation. Does life have you distracted? Probably. Finding time for quiet contemplation will help you to discover your life’s passions.
Step Two: Start with the end in mind. Backward thinking is a critical tool to understanding who you want to be and what you really want to accomplish in life.
Step Three: Think about what’s important to you. Understanding what’s most important to you and what makes you happy is the key to living a more fulfilling life.
Step Four: Identify your life goals. Make a list of all the things you’d like to do in life, things that sound fun and exciting and wonderful, and then choose the best of the list.
Step Five. Develop your core values. Distilling down the things that are most important to you into core values will help you to articulate your passions, make important life decisions, and enable you to spend more time doing the things you love.
I’ll post Step One tomorrow and each next step a week thereafter. Can’t wait until tomorrow? I don’t blame you. Use this link to download my Simple Guide to Discovering Your Life’s Passions and Live a More Fulfilling Life.
